Intent & Purpose

  • To administer the Police Pension Fund

Duties & Responsibilities

The Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Approve payments to beneficiaries of the Fund
  • Collection of required contributions from active participants of the Fund
  • Control, manage and administer the activities of the Fund
  • Maintain a public record of all proceedings of the Board
  • Provide for the investment of funds in accordance with statutes
  • Provide for the payment from the Fund of all necessary expenses related to the administration of the Fund
  • Receive and account for income provided from investments of the Fund
  • To establish necessary rules and regulations in conformity with statute in the administration of the Fund
  • To maintain records and provide various reports to the Village Board on a periodic basis related to the activities of the Fund

Meeting Details

The Police Pension Board meets on a quarterly basis in January, April, July and October. Meetings are held at 7:30 PM at the Glen Ellyn Police Department
