Kelli Christiansen was elected as Village Trustee in 2019. Trustee Christiansen has been a resident of Glen Ellyn since 2004, during which time she volunteered with Friends of the Library, Citizens for Glen Ellyn Preservation, and the Village’s Historic Preservation Commission. She sits on the Board of the Glen Ellyn Library Foundation after having served as Glen Ellyn Public Library Board Trustee from 2013-17. Trustee Christiansen holds a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Journalism from Northern Illinois University, pursued an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and is certified in Communication Skills for Bridging Divides and in Inclusive Leadership. She has spent her career in publishing, and launched her own business, bibliobibuli, in 2007.

When asked to name her favorite part of Glen Ellyn, Christiansen said, “That’s an impossible question—of course our residents, the historic charm of our downtown and neighborhoods, our unique small businesses … the list goes on and on. What about our residents? The growing diversity of our population. What about the historic charm? The dedication we have to preserving our unique character. What about our small businesses? Not only the unique foods, goods, and services, but also the friendly shopkeepers who always take the time to chat and share a kind word. That’s the Glen Ellyn I know and love.”
