In a continuing effort to receive valuable input from residents and to improve customer service, the Village worked in collaboration with the National Research Center to conduct the National Citizen Survey.
2017 National Citizen Survey
During the summer of 2017, the survey was mailed to 1,500 Glen Ellyn residents, selected at random. In addition, all residents had the opportunity to participate in the survey via the Village’s website. The survey itself was customized to fit the specific needs of Glen Ellyn and contained evaluative questions about the community and local governmental services as well as identifying priorities of potential community initiatives.
The survey yielded an excellent response with an over 33 percent rate, well over the industry standard of 20 percent. Additionally, 300 residents responded online.
This survey information will be used for future Village strategic planning. Plus, the Village plans to use this report as a benchmark, with a goal of conducting this survey again in three to five years.
