Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
An audited Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is issued each fiscal year.  The Village's fiscal year runs May 1 through April 30th.  Typically the CAFR is published in September following the close of the fiscal year. 
The Finance Department is responsible for the coordination and preparation of the Village’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, or CAFR, through its audit firm as well as preparing all documentation and records necessary to support the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements.
For the past twenty years, the Village has received recognition for its CAFR in the form of a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association. This program requires preparation of financial statements in accordance with detailed program criteria that help ensure a financial report that is well organized and easily readable as well as ensuring a spirit of complete disclosure and comparability with other local government financial statements.

Quarterly Financial Reports
The Finance Departments strives to provide up to date and detailed financial reporting and information. The following reports provide quarterly financial information regarding the fiscal health of the Village. These reports focus on actual revenues and expenditures compared to the previous fiscal year. More detailed information on the fiscal year to date performance of each of the Village’s 13 funds can be found within the summaries of each report. Annual Treasurers Report
Each year, the Village is required to prepare and publish an Annual Treasurer’s Report.  This report is published in a local newspaper and details amounts paid to individual vendors over $2,500  as well as a listing of employee salaries by category.
Expenditures Report
The Finance Department prepares expenditure reports to provide constituents with timely and pertinent information about government operations.  These reports provide a listing of expenditures paid to vendors for administrative and contractual services that support the operations of the Village. Providing this information allows the Village to maintain order in its fiscal operations while providing timely and pertinent information about government operations to the citizens and taxpayers.
Employee Compensation
Public Act 097-0609, an amendment to the Open Meetings Act, requires the posting of employee compensation information within 6 business days following the adoption of the annual budget (effective 1/11/12).  The Village's budget was adopted on April 23, 2012, with this information posted on April 27, 2012. The report provides the total compensation package amounts for full time employees that is broken down by the current calendar year and fiscal year
Finance Commission Reports
The Finance Commission is an advisory Commission to the Village Board that is charged with providing recommendations on financial matters that have a long-term focus. The Commission produces several reports with the oversight of the Finance Department.
