Department staff works closely with residents, business owners and developers to process zoning and development applications through the Plan Commission, Historic Preservation Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals.  All of the Commissions staffed by the Department are advisory to the Village Board.  Some of the requests reviewed by these Commissions include Zoning Variation, Special Use Permit, Subdivision, and Sign Variations, among others.  A handful of applications can be reviewed administratively by staff.  A summary table of the different Application Review Processes is available.  More detailed information about the different processes can be found in the respective application packets.
