Residents now have until June 1, 2020 to display a new Village vehicle sticker. Late fees will not be applied until July 1, 2020.
Vehicle sticker payments can be made online, through the mail, or placed in the drop box located in the parking lot behind the Civic Center.
The Village of Glen Ellyn requires that residents purchase and display a vehicle sticker for each vehicle that is registered under a Glen Ellyn address. Vehicle stickers are not required for an unincorporated address. Vehicle stickers are required for all vehicles, even if they are not located, parked, or stored at the house. Motorcycle and motorized scooter owners are also required to purchase a small metal tag that is to be placed under one of the plate screws.
Stickers cost $25 per car (prices may vary by vehicle type) and expire each year on April 30. Residents also have the option to purchase a three-year vehicle sticker at a discounted price of $70 (prices may vary by vehicle type). Senior rates are also available for those residents 65 or older. The vehicle must be owned by a senior for non-commercial use only. Sticker cost for a senior is $8 for a 1 year sticker or $19 for a 3 year sticker. Only one senior discount per household.
Residents may use the online purchase site to purchase Village vehicle stickers. Following the online completion, your vehicle stickers will be mailed promptly.
In Person/Via Mail
Residents may purchase vehicle stickers by mail using the renewal form or in-person at the Billing and Customer Service Division. New residents may apply for a vehicle sticker on the Motor Vehicle Registration Form (PDF), which is also used to apply for Village utility services.
New Vehicles Only: The payment needs to be made in person at the Civic Center Finance Department or by mail to 535 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 to avoid being charged any additional fees.
The Police Department may issue $50 tickets for noncompliance.
