Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District

Tax Increment Financing (TIF) is a tool provided to local governments to assist them in stimulating investment in areas which have difficulty attracting development or redevelopment. With this tool, local governments can invest in public improvements and provide incentives to attract businesses or help existing businesses expand.

The Village holds an annual TIF Joint Review Board Meeting to review the year's TIF projects, revenues and expenses for both the Central Business District TIF and the Roosevelt Road TIF.  Members of the Joint Review Board include representatives from all taxing bodies within the TIF district including College of DuPage, DuPage County Board, Glen Ellyn School District 41, Glenbard High School District 87, Milton Township, Glen Ellyn Park District, Community Consolidated School District 89, and public representatives from each TIF District.

Previous agendas, minutes and presentations are posted under the Village Agendas & Minutes.
