The Main Street Lot and South Main Lot, highlighted in the map below, will be closed starting at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 8 and will not be fully reopened until mid-day on Tuesday, December 10. This closure is necessary for the completion of a site investigation including ground penetrating radar, soil borings and installation of ground monitoring wells. The work will be completed on Monday, December 9 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 10 from 8 a.m. to noon. Advance notice will be posted within the parking lots pertaining to the closure.
Alternate Parking Options
The Village realizes that these parking locations are important to many users, and that closing them may cause some inconvenience. For these reasons, we are making the following alternate parking suggestions:
- Hillside Avenue between Forest Avenue and Main Street
- Forest Avenue between Duane Street and Hillside Avenue
- Duane Street between Glenwood Avenue and Forest Avenue
With these alternate locations, it should be noted that you must park in a legal parking spot. During the timespan that the lots are closed, time limits and overnight parking will not be enforced in the above noted locations. There is no need to contact the Police Department for an overnight parking request.
