[ARCHIVED] Mechanical Repair in Process at Glenbard Wastewater Authority

The Village of Glen Ellyn has been notified by the Glenbard Wastewater Authority that they experienced a mechanical failure to their system that is currently being repaired. Glen Ellyn Public Works has inspected its sanitary sewer system and determined there are no issues at this time. We will continually monitor the system and if the situation escalates, we will notify citizens accordingly.

Updates on the repair will be shared as they are made available by the Glenbard Wastewater Authority.

Mechanical Repair in Process at Glenbard Wastewater Authority

Glen Ellyn, IL (March 5, 2020) - During the overnight hours, a mechanical failure was reported at the Glenbard Wastewater Authority (GWA) that services both Lombard and Glen Ellyn. Steps were immediately taken to prevent further disruption to the system. Crews are currently on site to repair the failure and to restore the system back to its full capacity. At this time, we do not anticipate any direct impact to residents, however, GWA staff will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
