[ARCHIVED] Temporary CBD Parking Modifications Due to COVID-19

15 min parking

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, so do the parking needs in the Central Business District (CBD). With the Governor’s recent stay at home order extension, retail stores have reopened to fulfill telephone and online orders through curbside pick-up and delivery. Joined together by restaurants offering curbside carry-out, the need for temporary, short-term parking for customers in the downtown has grown.

In an effort to further help the many businesses in the CBD offering curbside service, parking patrons will begin to see signage in the higher traffic areas throughout the downtown indicating 15 minute curbside parking. With these temporary parking modifications in place, it will provide customers more parking availability for their pick-up needs.

As a general guideline, reference the interactive downtown customer parking map. The temporary curbside parking areas will primarily fall within the red highlighted on-street parking zones.

If you are planning for a longer visit in the downtown, remember to “Park by the Path” and utilize the six parking lots along the Prairie Path for convenient parking.
