Residents and visitors to Glen Ellyn's Polar Plaza can now enjoy new additions to the pop-up skating rink, including music and restaurant delivery service.

Beginning last week, streamed music can be heard at the plaza while you skate during operational hours. Additionally, School of Rock Glen Ellyn will be performing two live concerts at the Polar Plaza:
- Sunday, March 21, 3-5 p.m.
- Saturday, April 10, 3-5 p.m.
Restaurant Delivery Service
Polar Plaza visitors now have the option to order from downtown restaurants in Glen Ellyn to deliver directly to the plaza area. View the "Skate and Dine" signage posted at the Polar Plaza for delivery options. The signage provides QR codes which can be scanned for restaurant menus and ordering. All food will be delivered to carts on site, located in the western portion of the plaza. Please note that alcohol is not permitted in plaza, and no food or drink is allowed on the skating rink.

About the Polar Plaza
The Polar Plaza offers ice skating in downtown Glen Ellyn thanks to a partnership between the Village and the Park District. The pop-up skating rink is free to residents and visitors to the area. The ice skating rink has a synthetic (plastic) surface which replicates a regular ice surface. The material is the same product used at the Blackhawks training center and does not require refrigeration, water, or considerable maintenance, and is also not subject to weather conditions (other than snow accumulation).
The pop-up Polar Plaza occupies a portion of the Village’s Crescent parking lot, just west of Main Street. Parking is available in the western most portion of the Crescent parking lot. Anticipated to be up through mid-April, the rink is open seven days a week from noon to 9 p.m.
